On April 18, 2008, the Upsilon Pi Epsilon chapter of Villanova University inducted ten Computer Science students (five undergraduates and five graduates) into the national honor society in computing sciences. Congratulations to undergraduates Tara L. Srihari, Alex J. Palkovic, Kory E. Kirk, Mark C. Ballweg, and Kristin Scudder, and graduates Lauren Elizabeth Palcho, David John Snyder, Nagesh Javali, Matthew G. White and Jacquelyn Dawn Grande, who have received the UPE award for their outstanding academic achievement and commitment to sciences. The featured speaker of the evening was Kory Kirk, who shared with his peers his remarkable thoughts on open source software. The ceremony concluded with a small reception.
