Dr. Lillian Cassel chaired the Posters and Demonstration track of the 2008 Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (Pittsburgh - June 16 -19). Part of the fun is to coordinate the Minute Madness session. During this session, each poster or demonstration presenter gets 60 seconds to entice the conference attendees to come visit them during the conference reception. Each has submitted two slides to use in their presentation. A bike horn is used to interrupt anyone who talks too long and that person must immediately leave the stage. It is a lively and fun affair and takes a lot of planning to make it work. JCDL had a wonderful collection of posters and demonstrations this year and Dr. Cassel reports that it was a pleasure to work with the presenters.
