Internships
The word internship can be used in a couple of ways. It can be used to refer to any summer or part-time job that provides good computing experience. And within the Villanova community, an internship can also mean a formalized relationship that has been set up with an employer so that interns receive college credit for their efforts.
In either case, internships represent a great opportunity. They can provide valuable experience and contacts, and they expose students to work and environments that help them determine if a particular career path is appropriate. Many internships result in offers of full-time employment after graduation.
The Vatican Internship is a particularly wonderful and unique opportunity for Villanova Computer Science students. Make sure you consider this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, which is also a part of the study abroad program.
