The Department of Computing Sciences supports and promotes the following student organizations.
Villanova Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
The Villanova ACM is a student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery, an international organization of computing professionals. Our chapter hosts technical and social events for students and the general computing community.
Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE)
Upsilon Pi Epsilon is the international honor society for the computing and information disciplines. The Villanova UPE chapter inducts new members each year.
Science & Theatre Magic Program
The Science & Theatre Magic Program, is a service learning summer program of multidisciplinary, magic-themed science exploration, where faculty mentor teens, who in turn create and stage a fantastic day-long adventure that brings younger children from Philadelphia by train to a School of Magic.
Alice Workshop
The Alice Workshop , program is a part of the series of events held by the Girls Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania .
Programming Teams
The programming team competes in the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest, also known as the "Battle of the Brains," which challenges students to solve real-world computer programming problems under a grueling, five-hour deadline.
