Villanova Department of Computing Sciences

Technical Report Information

Technical Report Coordinator: Dr. Daniel Joyce, daniel.joyce@villanova.edu

Goals: Our Technical Report series allows Villanova Computing Sciences' professors and students to disseminate the results of their research quickly. Internal review provides quality control, ensuring the value of each report to the CS community. By providing an alternative to journal/conference publication we allow authors to receive timely feedback on their work, a crucial tool for making progress in the fast-paced world of CS.

Approach: Our Technical Report page (see link below) contains the list of technical reports, organized sequentially by year and alphabetically by author within a year. All reports are archived as PDF files in ACM's CoRR (Computing Research Repository). Archived reports can be reached by clicking on their title on the Technical Report page.

Submission by Faculty: Any faculty member may submit a technical report to our series. Follow the directions below. If you need assistance, contact the Technical Report Coordinator.

Submission by Students: Student reports must be sponsored by a faculty member. The most common source of technical reports are graduate students, who create a report as part of their culminating Independent Study project. In this case, their report must be approved by their Independent Study advisor, who should inform the Technical Report Coordinator of the approval.
