Math and CS Summer Teaching for Students

Internship Description: We are seeking enthusiastic math and computer science instructors and teaching assistants to instruct in our summer programs for gifted elementary, middle, and high school students. CTY offers intense, 3-week academic programs for highly talented students from across the country and around the world. CTY staff work with exceptional students, make contacts and friendships with dynamic colleagues, and gain valuable teaching experience in a rigorous academic setting. Instructors start at $2,100 to $3,000 per 3-week session. Teaching assistants earn $1,100 per 3-week session.

Company Description: Since 1979, the Center for Talented Youth (CTY) at Johns Hopkins University has focused on the needs of students with exceptionally high academic abilities. The CTY community includes very bright students from all over the world whose talents place them well ahead of their agemates. These students need special attention: greater academic challenges, interaction with intellectual peers, and teaching strategies designed especially for the gifted. CTY offers gifted students, and their families and schools as well, a wide range of programs and services to nurture their intellectual abilities, enhance personal development, and foster better understanding of the needs of talented youth.
